"I 've passed by Wasabi Sushi Roll numerous times and finally was able to give it a try. We came for an early dinner on Friday evening and was greeted by the kind staff. The restaurant was fairly empty and there was plenty of indoor table seating as well as seating at the bar.We ordered a variety of raw and cooked rolls including the California Roll $8.95), Spicy Tuna $9.95), Volcano Roll $16.95), Lion King $16.45), All in One $15.45), Lollipop $16.45), Rainbow Roll $15.95), 49er Roll $16.45), Area 51 $16.45) and an order of Vegetable Tempura $9.95). The food came out within about 15 minutes and we were ready to dig in. All the rolls were enjoyable but I particularly liked the All in One whi...

Love this place. I would say it's sort of a hidden gem. Great quality of fish and very consistent.

We ordered a couple of rolls and the chirashi meal. The food came out pretty fast. The fish was fresh.

3.5 starsWasabi Sushi Roll looks fairly small from the outside but it was surprisingly spacious with at least 12 tables inside bar seating. I really liked that the tables were spaced out from one another. Friendly staff. We made reservations for 5 adults 3 kids for a Friday evening around 5:30pm to be safe, but we didn't need the reservations as it wasn't crowded when we arrived. Since there was a mixture of us who enjoyed cooked versus raw rolls, we ordered various rolls to satisfy all taste buds. Started with an order of vegetable tempura $9.95) along with spicy tuna $9.95), Lollipop $16.45), California Roll $8.95), Area 51 $16.45), Volcano $16.95), Rainbow $15.95), and Lion King $16.45).A...

"I recently visited Izakaya Takasei and had a mixed experience. My boyfriend and I ordered the takoyaki, chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl, several yakitori, takowasabi (raw octopus with wasabi), and the Kobe beef roll. While the takoyaki and yakitori were delicious, the chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl was really bland. The Kobe beef roll was a bit odd with the combination of garlic butter and tataki sauce. Unfortunately, there were also a few items on the menu that were no longer available, which was a bit disappointing. It would be good for the restaurant to update their menu to avoid any confusion or disappointments. While the food at Izakaya Takasei comes out quickly, this can also be a double-edged sword. During my visit, my boyfriend and I received several dishes at once, which meant that a lot of our food was sitting out and getting cold while we were eating the others. It would be great if the kitchen could pace the dishes better to ensure that everything is served at the optimal temperature. The service was a bit lackluster as well. The only time we were able to ask for condiments, utensils, and more water was when the employees brought our food out. No one checked on us throughout our meal, and it would have been nice to have a more attentive staff. On the plus side, the restaurant has nice Japanese decor and is quite spacious. However, there was no background music, which made the ambiance a bit dull.Overall, while there were some drawbacks, Izakaya Takasei may be worth checking out if you're in the area and in the mood for some Japanese cuisine. Just be sure to join the wait-list on Yelp beforehand and check in with the host when you arrive."
