"We stayed with 4 people in the Yellow House, which is beautifully located in the old town of Eltville. The house is an old building from the 17th century. Century, beautifully renovated and offers a nice backdrop. Largest trump is surely the covered terrace overlooking the vineyards on the Rhine. Here you can also sit comfortably outside if the weather doesn't play like that. The wine is good (recommendation: the semi-dry Riesling selection Yellow house but this is also expected in the Rheingau. The food (rieslingsüppchen, grillsteak or pigs Lende and salmon were qualitatively absolutely fine, but without special subtleties in performance and taste. The price performance ratio is fine, but I would like to consider the food as an average. It was annoying, however, that in the late afternoon we had reserved the table for the evening, so to speak, under the butt. On our question whether we will be thrown out, the service explained that would be so .I don't just think to ask if you still stay or if the table is available from the time in question, would surely be more friendly in the classical sense. Conclusion: A nice location to sit outside with beautiful views and one or more glasses of wine. In order to eat, we would no longer visit the Yellow House."

"we visited a (birth day) lunch in December and were simply amazed! we chose the set menus (a signature and a seasonal menu in our case) and were delighted by the delicious and excellently balanced kitchen. each dish was more...as delicious, made full of fresh seasonal ingredients and with great expertise and carefree. besides the wonderful eating, the wine couples were excellent. the team was very well informed about the various weeping and you could say that they enjoyed their expertise with the guests sharing. the service was everywhere inconspicuous, not too inconspicuous, but there was always someone around when they needed it. we also feel that the period between the different curses was perfect, no big gaps and just enough time in between to enjoy the experience instead of feeling. and finally, the restaurant of our view is exceptionally good for money, we are not aware that a restaurant in a similar caliber offers such fair prices. that was our first visit to jean', but hopefully not the last. we will certainly be back when we thank you for such a beautiful experience near the entire team!"

"it was an intimate and quianter place that kept us all together when we celebrated the success of our company at our annual summer celebration. the staff was great and super attentive, all smile and fast. we were finally blessed with good weather around we stayed in the garden only under the cherry tree and enjoyed organic/bio food and enjoyed our Saturday so much! can not yet say how it is when they visit private but let us see."

"Hello Today, 9.10.2015, I was invited to dinner in the restaurant: Zur Weinpump, in Eltville. I didn't know this restaurant and I am totally enthusiastic!!! A super ambience, service friendly, nice and very helpful. Eating a true dream tastefully brilliant. A restaurant very recommended. You feel very well in every respect and looked after. This place is now one of my favorites!!! Unfortunately you can only forgive 5 stars this place would have earned at least 10 stars"

"Me and my 5 friends were debating on where to have dinner on a nice Saturday in the Wiesbaden Rheingau Area . They were craving Schnitzel so i said ok i will give Baumstammhaus a last chance to prove that they can do better.... Wrong choice . Waiters completely ignorant and most unfriendly table waiters i have ever met can 't get worse after asking why they dont provide a card payment method after years she replied in german if you dont have the money to eat here go to McDonalds or Burger King they accept cards !!! Wow !! Drinks were served quick . So was the salad which was plastered with a heavy dressing that looked more like seasoned curd than a nice light dressing .... negative #2 so far .... Main course came served , this is where its getting interesting guys: My Schnitzel was sloppy . Soaked in grease and cooking oil . I asked if this was freshly breaded and cooked and she replied yes which is a 100% lie ! The Schnitzels are beeing pre breaded and cooked before opening of the restaurant and then after beeing irdered by guests they just throw them in the deep fryer . YUK ! Fries were oversalted and just too much . Quantity over quality ! What a waste of food and money ! Me , my friends and everyone i know agreed to NEVER go back to this low quality , unfriendly spot . The nice interior cant make that up ..."
