"This restaurant was the best German restaurant my family ever went to while we lived in Germany. We visited for my birthday one year and I would always look for an excuse to drive to Ruedesheim to eat here. A small restaurant with a view of the river and a castle on the other side, like everywhere else in Germany. For our family of 4, we never paid more than 35 euro to eat here. I always had the same schnitzel named Bauern-schnitzel. It comes with fried onions and potatoes, bacon pieces, a slice of ham, and a fried egg on top. Everyone is so helpful with the menu choices, generous portions you will NOT be disappointed its fabulous. The structure alone is something to see! Great time with local folks!

After a lovely day in Ruedesheim and driving up the Rhein we found this terrific restaurant. Parking is very limited so it is advised that you walk if at all possible. The restaurant is off the beaten path of the primary downtown area but still not a bad walk. The staff was welcoming and even though there was a large birthday party going on we were seated without wait. There is an English menu, just ask. The Schnitzel was fantastic! This was my last evening in Germany and my husband's birthday, we could not have been more pleased with our restaurant choice.
