"We 've dined at Zapata twice now and both times we 've been floored by the quality and presentation of our meals. There are plenty of reasons to enjoy a good family style Mexican restaurant, but Zapata is Mexican Cuisine: traditional dishes prepared by trained chefs and presented in a more formal style... but at a reasonable price and a relaxed atmosphere. Zapata would be more popular to walk-ins if it had a liquor license (Lilly said they are working on one) but you can bring your own wine/beer if that 's important to you. Highly, highly recommended."

My wife and I made this our top local restaurant the first time we ate there the week they opened. Michel and staff serve up perfectly prepared and presented dishes that you would expect from a Boston or Providence restaurant. I think we have tried every item on the menu at least once, and the quality and variety are always superb. We recently stopped in for their Valentines Day tasting, and sat in front of the kitchen watching them serve up one tasty course after another. Yup, I have to say, we are regulars!
