"Intimate ambience, excellent food and service. This turned out to be our best meal of the trip. The place appeared to have a lot of regulars. When we were dining, we noticed the manager greeted many of the customers by name and talked as if they knew each other for years. In fact later in the evening, he even poured himself a glass of wine and sat at one of the tables to chat. Love those kind of places. The decor is simple elegance and the food teeters between rustic and fine dining French. We arrived promptly for our 7pm reservations and was seated right away. Loved the lobster bisque, veal chop, and the leaks salad. Didn't care for the mushroom pate . Loved the pommes frites as they are very memorable and they were complimentary! Owner is very friendly and nice.

During our visit to Incline Village, my wife made dinner reservations for 6:30pm at Le Bistro. After being seated, we were handed menus and small edibles. We waited for 20 minutes in the vain hope of getting water or drinks, as we were parched, but service was very slow and no one came by. We lost our patience waiting and left to go to another restaurant. Bistro means fast but Le Bistro was even slower than restaurants in Paris. I don 't know if the food is well cooked but it 's not a place to visit if you expect good service.
