"I loved Apollo, but I never had a good experience at this point. Since June I have seen a sign that says they are low-occupied and I guess I can see why. They are probably underpaid considering how none of the workers care and many of them have difficulty understanding English on their own menu. I can't even read my order so they always give me the wrong things. Put me on the sauce and don't give me a sauce. Maybe the ride wouldn't be so secure if people don't have to wait 20 minutes to get the right order. Prices increase, but there is no improvement in quality or service. The worst place to spend $30, two burger combos that are not done right. Better service in the apollo on the road and...

Wow. Quality has tanked. I'm in from out of town, and they used to have shredded lettuce and fresh food. The beef patty was dry, like it was a preformed freezer patty from a box. The bun was dry. One of the worst burgers I've had....wasn't worth it. See the photo.

I brought a friend who visited me from another state. I told her how good the food was. I ordered two Cheeseburg onion rings fried mushrooms and two drinks. The hamburgers were pink and cold in the middle. The onion rings were the most beautiful I ever had. The fried mushrooms were tasteless. It was very clean and people were very nice. But I'm not gonna eat at Apollo Burger again.

Waited in line for 30 minutes behind one car, received cold food, and my medium fry bag had about 10 total fries in it- less than half the bag could hold. This has happened multiple times recently, and it?s completely ruined Apollo for me- which I have been a life-long lover of. I understand mistakes happen sometimes, but this is a repeated action and it?s very disappointing that the quality Apollo used to offer doesn?t exist anymore.

"I speak as a tourist. I was delighted this place has dedicated, on-the-menu options – as it is apparently open late, it would seem to be worth keeping in mind for that reason. This, and the empanada's great value, lead me to give it three stars. That said, there were some oddities. I got the vegan arepa and the vegan empanada. They were both filled with *exactly the same ingredients* and the empanada was bigger than the arepa – but the arepa costs more than 2x as much. Given these circumstances, and the fact that I liked the empanada more, I can see the empanada being a great deal for a vegan looking late night or for a bit of variety. Both of them were on the bland side, however, and far from imaginative. I did enjoy the plantains in both; otherwise, it was mainly black beans and some avocado. (From the menu, it appears that their several vegan items seem mainly to be rearranging these same ingredients. The small amount of chimichurri I was given added some flavor and was ok, but did not knock my socks off. None of it was bad, and I do think they made at least the arepa fresh with decent ingredients, but there just wasn't much flavor. Finally, they use big styrofoam packaging for to-go, which is actually enough to mean I would avoid eating here again. (Not being a local, I don't know how common this is, but I know it's not even nominally recyclable in SLC and that not all places do it. Updated from previous review on 2021-09-05"
