I ordered the apple cinnamon pancakes and didn't understand why the apples were served separately from the pancakes, but whatever, they were delicious, my tastebuds didn't care. I love Blue Plate! It's really laid back, with great food, great customer service, and a melting pot of Memphians. Cant get any better than this. I wish it was open later because I love breakfast for dinner sometimes, lol

I so enjoyed the entire experience from the colorful exterior, uniquely decorated interior, friendly staff, and wonderful meat and three vegetable plate. The food came out in minutes and was fresh and hot. The sweet tea was some of the best I have had in a very long time. Our entire order was brought to the table correct and with a basket of biscuits and cornbread. This was my first visit, but will definitely be going back when I go to Memphis.

Breakfast is really good, great variety and food is always fresh and tasty. Tried the Eggs Benedict, fried eggs over easy with biscuits and gravy and mexican roll-ups. The Eggs Benedict were a bit overcooked, but the hollandaise sauce made up for it. Unfortunately the service was awful, toast arrived after we had finished our meals, server never checked on us or asked us if we needed anything, ended up getting our own check. Pity that the server reduced what would have been a great experience. I still recommend you try the Blue Plate Cafe, the food is good and worth taking a chance on the service.
