"Came here on a weeknight with a reservation but probably didn't need one because it wasn't super busy. My friend I started with the pork belly which was really good. Super rich but melted in your mouth like butter. They didn't have a bourbon menu, our waitress said they were working on it, but she recommended a whiskey she liked which ended up being delicious. For our main course we both had the steak frites (comes with bone marrow . I had mine rare and my friend had it medium rare. I was taken here for my birthday. I'll be back the place is a knockout. The staff is delightful, the drinks are well made and delicious, the steaks are very nicely prepared. I had the New York steak medium rare and it came out perfect. My friend ordered the filet with equal success. Highly recommended.

Came here for my ninth wedding anniversary dinner....oh. My. God. The ginger beer brined pork rack was PHENOMENAL, and it paired PERFECTLY with the delectable macaroni and cheese. Our dinner was splendid, and they brought us a chocolate chip bread pudding with caramel sauce for dessert (on the house)! We will absolutely be coming back!

Best Ribeye I've every had (not hyperbole)! Went here for a birthday dinner and everyone was impressed with their meal. The Bourbon Burger was great, the Mac and Cheese was fantastic, and the Ribeye was phenomenal! Minus one star because we found ourselves looking for our waitress on more than one occasion and the restaurant is relatively small.

"We met two local friends here for lunch as it's one of their favorite places. They made a good choice! We all started with wine and cocktails along with the lotus chips. We let our friends do the ordering and we enjoyed the eggplant, pea shoots and fiery tofu along with some amazing coconut rice. The service was good and they never rushed us even though we were taking our time ordering, etc. Definitely a place to check out if you are in the neighborhood."

"The grilled chicken is my go to here. It has a slightly sweet smoky taste that is fairly addicting. I think in general they do meat well. They also give a decent portion for a decent price. Chicken vermicelli bowl : really good Chicken over rice: also very good. The rice reminds me of couscous Pork chop over rice: tasty Imperial rolls: this was a miss for us. The filling was too mushy and bland Chicken pho: wasn't a fan, but I'm very particular about my pho broth. I don't like it when its sweet. I think for most people tho this would taste fine. They have a tiny parking lot and its within walking distance from lake merritt. Its a local neighborhood place that I wouldn't go out of my way for, but if you're around the lake, would suggest giving it a try. I've only ordered takeout from here, but will say that they don't always answer their phone especially on Sundays when they are very busy. Hasn't stopped me from coming here."

"Came in hearing that Burma Superstar was super popular in the area so wanted to try it myself. I got the Superstar fries because it was the cheapest thing on the menu and the description sounded pretty delicious, describing it as a spicy, savoury, umamibomb with a condiment called balachaung. Once I started eating though, it tasted horrendous. I tossed most of it. I laterlearned after looking online that balachaung is made with shrimp, and I do not eat seafood. It would have been greatly helpfulif the description explained what balachaung was, especially for people with allergies."

"beautiful Israeli/Mediterranean place right next to dona tomas. good sitting area in free. there is a tonne vegan options, but I wish the menu so or specified which dishes can be made vegan. the server was very helpful and let me know what could be vegan, but it would be great to have it marked and obvious! there is a vegan tahini sauce that can replace any of the yogurt tahini and it was pretty good, but again, they wouldn't know about it unless they asked how it is not somewhere on the menu."
