"(Last visited 8/26/2021. Returning from Philadelphia on a work trip and I've always heard good things about Center Street Social, so it only makes sense to stop by here on the way home! So here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right on Center Street in downtown Shelton is this gem. I couldn't tell if there was a private parking lot, but I do think there may have been a small on on the side of the restaurant. We parked on the street and it wasn't a big deal. Once inside this place is very rustic, tavern-esque and I liked it. There were high ceilings and the bar is to your left once you walk in. I ate here years ago and enjoyed it but I went back last week to give it another try. The place was nearly empty, it looked a little worse for wear, and it absolutely reeked of weed, like a sweaty armpit mixed with a skunk. We walked out and I wouldn't go back.

My husband and I visited this place on Friday, and we had an amazing time! The bartender Dakota was amazing! Her drinks and customer service was phenomenal. If you live in the Shelton/Derby area this is a place that you must try! Even if you don't live in this area, it's worth the drive. I love it here.

This is apparently my 4th review attempt here and the problems are consistent. What can I say about the worst bar in CT?! Well here we go.... I used to be a regular coming here every Thursday for wing night because the great staff who took care of us and the wing cook was the best. They are unfortunately under new ownership without those staff members and it has gone downhill drastically. In the heart of downtown Shelton, this bar will be my last choice, every time. Today they were doing construction inside the bar using loud power tools while we were trying to enjoy our drinks and conversation.
