"After arriving for our reservation we were escorted to our table under the tent. The fire pit nearby was emitting an incredible amount of smoke all of which was traveling to and getting trapped by the tent. The staff would not make any accommodations to find alternative seating regardless of booking in advance, being relatively empty since we arrived early for a 5:45 pm reservation. The hostess informed us, impolitely and with little empathy, that Bob, the maker of all decisions who was not even brought into the discussion, would not be able to offer an alternative or address the firepit which after 5 minutes left our party smelling like a bbq ashtray. Nice place..we ate indoors but well spaced.from others. The food was good...i had sea bass special. I imagine foodies love this place..im a little more traditional..for instance..the fish was going to be served atop a watermrlon mango gazpacho/salsa...i asked for it on the side. Im glad i did bc i think it had anise or pernod in it..which i don't like. Dont get me wrong, the food was very good..just a matter of your palate..the fried fish platters and clam chowder ..all delish.
