"My husband and I have on Sunday 24th. April, the recording of Johnny ordered. We travel all the time, so we always look for cool, local, independent places to try. We had a busy morning of sunrise in Death Valley, followed by lots of excavations in Pahrump, so we stared at the time we finally stopped eating shortly after lunch. We ordered a Mozzarella Stick app, and I ordered the black chicken pasta and my husband ordered the chicken fajitas. Our foods were prepared relatively fast and our total amount was just $32, which with current inflation is honestly a rarity for us, as recently seems that every food is $40 $100 for the 2 of us. My mozzarella sticks were pretty good, but I thought it was interesting that it was very clear 2 different types of prepackaged frozen mozzarella sticks, because half was very thin with a type of batter and the other half were very fat with another type of batter. The marinara diving sauce was not particularly good and was clearly not fresh in the house. My black chicken alfredo was fine, but the sauce was certainly not really alfredo it is the cheap American version of the sauce. It reminded me of a dish that I had grown up in the local restaurant in my little hometown something that made a young little town girl very happy, but not quite in place for an adult who traveled the world. My husband also felt his Fajitas were just okay. All in all, based on food and presentation, I would usually give this restaurant a 2 or 3 stars, but based on the price alone, I pushed it up to 4 stars. If you're not picky eating and are just looking for a fast, filling meal, I think most people would be relatively happy here, but if you're looking for food that is fresh and making scratches with seasonal ingredients, this is not the place. Honestly, from our two excursions through Pahrump, I'm not sure that there are any options that match this bill, so next time we'll probably stop until we're in Vegas or elsewhere."

"One of the enjoyable things we do when travelling is to visit local wineries. And yes, there are wineries outside of the Napa Valley. In fact there are 3,000 wineries in the U.S. and there is at least one in every state. So when we go to Las Vegas it is fun to take the one hour drive west from Las Vegas to the off-the-beaten-track community of Pahrump to stop at Pahrump Valley Winery. And as enjoyable as it is to taste wine at Pahrump the highlight of the visit has to be lunch in the gorgeous dining room of their Symphony Restaurant. The space is absolutely elegant with lots of windows throughout the round space to let light in during the day and allow for beautiful outside views. There is a huge wrap around patio for outdoor dining but we chose to eat inside. The service was superb. The menu selections were like those of a more citified fine dining eatery. We were planning on a big dinner later that night so we ate light (sort of). I had a wonderful grilled Portobello sandwich which was delicious and huge but a little messy to eat. It was a grilled Portobello mushroom, roasted red pepper, onion, smoked provolone, bibb lettuce, pesto mayo on a grilled brioche bun with some delicious cole slaw on the side. My partner opted for a fruit and cheese platter which sounded modest but which was served looking like it was ready for a cover photo for Epicurean Magazine. Fresh seasonal dried fruit was paired with select cheeses crisp crackers but that description doesn't do justice to the selection of fruit, cheese and crackers, each was in abundance and mouth wateringly delicious. We added a cup of lobster bisque and our light lunch turned out to be scrumptious banquet. The tables were covered in white linen, beautiful dishes and nice flatware, and the most attentive waitress we could have hoped for. And all of this in the middle of nowhere 60 miles from the Vegas strip. We loved the experience at the Symphony Restaurant and oh, yes, Pahrump's white wines were very nice and we bought several bottles before we left."
