"One of the enjoyable things we do when travelling is to visit local wineries. And yes, there are wineries outside of the Napa Valley. In fact there are 3,000 wineries in the U.S. and there is at least one in every state. So when we go to Las Vegas it is fun to take the one hour drive west from Las Vegas to the off-the-beaten-track community of Pahrump to stop at Pahrump Valley Winery. And as enjoyable as it is to taste wine at Pahrump the highlight of the visit has to be lunch in the gorgeous dining room of their Symphony Restaurant. Exquisite food! The crab cakes are like 98% crab!!! Like I love!!! The Tuscany soup was tasty and homey and the sandwiches were scrumptiously delightful.

Went for hubby's birthday lunch and was great. Lovely place to dine. Our entrees we're beef stroganoff, fish and chips, and Cobb salad. Dessert was creme brulee, one of the better ones we've had and we order it whenever we see it on a menu.

The Symphony restaurant is located inside the Pahrump Valley Winery. It has a small dining room with around 15 tables (reservation recommended). The menu was solid, and the food was prepared perfectly. The person who enhanced our experience was our waiter, Rose. Rose has a million dollar smile along with a sparkling personality. She was simply the best!
