"The food is improving! I ordered first when I moved back to the area. I rated their Chicken and Broccoli, a takeout classic, a 3/5. It was boring and bland. However, I ordered it again just the other day and it was fantastic an easy 5/5 and the best I've had. The chicken had better texture, the sauce you could drink on its own, the broccoli was very fresh, and... why am I gushing over chicken and broccoli? Well, few places get it this right. My only criticism is that the some of the rice granules were hard. I think it needs to be better hydrated when it is steamed/prepared. As for a criticism of the restaurant itself... the menu is much too much. Take the Gordon Ramsay advice of cutting dow...

This is the only place I know that sells tuna from blue fin. If you know, you know. Look at the color of that tuna it is absolutely beautiful. Everything here was delicious, and very fresh. The James roll is a must. Only con is that it gets really busy, and so there is just a bit of a wait sometimes. But I guarantee you it is well worth the wait!!

Was here the first time for my birthday dinner—WOW, what an unexpected wonderful experience. The inside has been fully renovated and looks beautiful. Clean and modern decor that you can tell the owners truly take pride in. The food was equally delicious—our table had a variety of appetizers and main courses, everything was cooked perfectly and flavorful. Beef with broccoli was excellent. Service was also excellent. Such a treat to have this fabulous restaurant in the neighborhood—-we will most certainly be back! Highly recommended.

Eastern Pavilion is a hidden gem in Long Island. The variety of Asian cuisine they offer is impressive and at such affordable prices! For appetizers, my family and I got the steamed pork dumpling, which was good. Could have been a little juicier. For main, we got their signature Hawaiian roll and Pad Thai noodle. Their Pad Thai noodle was hands down one of the best ones we have tried so far. It was spicy enough to eat and was just so delicious, out of this world! Next time, we definitely want to try their James signature roll and other signature dishes! For drinks we got their beautiful amethyst colored sake drink…can’t remember the exact name, but it was pretty good. Make sure to stir it we...

"I was looking forward to trying Mirabelle again after a bad experience we had when they were at their old location years ago. I had friends from out of town in and we were looking for an historical venue to go along with a local revolutionary war event in Setauket and The Three Village Inn fit the bill. Unfortunately, I was unimpressed overall with our experience. The waiter was terrific, no problem there. We asked for the Tavern portion of the restaurant, hoping for that old Colonial Tavern feel, which it partially delivered. It was mostly modern, not a bad thing, but not completely what we had in mind. We had some tasty appetizers. A Charcuterie Board that was good and a Butter Board that was also tasty. The crusty bread they served with it was delicious. We also had the raw oysters; small but good. Had we stopped there for drinks and apps, it might have been a good meal, but we all continued on with our entrees and that where things turned out to be disappointing. Part of the problem is the regular menu is not very interesting and for some reason they had no “Farm to Table” specials on this particular Saturday night. I had the Milanese style Pork Chop with a salad topping, that was tasteless. My wife and one of our friends had the signature Duck. For a French Restaurant we were expecting something delicious. Again, it lacked any kind of flavor other than the chutney that was served with it. It had no sauce, Au Jus, or crispy skin. All in call not, worth ordering again. My friends had the chicken which looked a little better, but no one was raving about it. I don’t know what the rest of the limited menu is like, but nothing else sounded really good. I have heard that the Tavern Burger is good, but for the price, I can get a good burger anywhere. Suffice it to say, this experience is not going to make us run back there any time soon."
