"Return to 1901 for the second straight year for a birthday dinner. We sat right on arrival. Again we sat in April and immediately recognized them from the food there last year. She remembered where we sat and what my wife ordered last year. Once again, she was super, 6-star service. She was very friendly and up all night. The restaurant was on the loud side and very busy, but gave most customers a very nice view of the port. I had the Tuna Tataki and my wife had the Calamari for appetizers and they were delicious. My wife had the ribeye, it was cooked on request and was very good. I had the Scallops Risotto and I really enjoyed it. We are very glad that we decided to return to 1901 to celeb...

Went specifically for the fresh Toro and between the amazing tuna and the great service 1901 exceeded our expectations!

We had a nice dinner on an early Sunday evening and enjoyed a very good filet and pork chop. I had a wonderful spinach salad with pistachios, figs, dried apricots, and apples with a tasty dressing. Our server was a happy young woman who was attentive and pleasant. The manager or perhaps owner came by to check on our meal and there was always someone circulating to see if water was needed etc. I noticed other diners enjoying their sushi. We were too full to get dessert when our server offered it but saw the case of the most beautiful pastries when we left. Next time! We'd definitely go back.
