"I have been to IPO on several occasions and while service has never been exemplary, it has always been acceptable. Friday night was neither. I want to be clear that I do not believe that this was our servers fault. It seemed that he was the only server in the dinning room and was running everywhere. While this was happening someone who is presumably a manager of sorts, sat with the two hostesses doing nothing. Furthermore, since its opening IPO has slowly gotten further and further away from being a tapas restaurant. I guess this is fine, I'm sure there is a valid reason, ie. money, for this. On the other hand your execution of your new menu was poor. It is no longer someplace I would want...

Went here for the first time for our anniversary. The food and service was great! The place was a kind of loud and we were practically sitting with the table next to us. We loved the variety of small plates available and will go again.

Cool little spot in the heart of Downtown Baton Rouge. Food was AMAZING. I thought the service was a tad slow, but my family thought it was fine. My husband had the Duck wow! and The rest of us had the Ribeye, so tasty and cooked to perfection. Super cool spot to dine, casual, very good vibe.

The food is awesome. We tried the Duck Nachos and Frites with blue cheese and truffle gravy for our appetizer and had the Debris Sandwich and Patty Melt for our entrees. The flavors are complex and everything is well seasoned. The only thing I would change is the beer selection, which seems to be lacking some variety. I live across the street so I definitely will be back.

"I have finally eaten at all of the fancy steak places I know of. Ruth’s, Sullivans, Buddys (Hammond , Flemings. Ruth’s was slightly more expensive than Flemings, but not by much. I ordered the ribeye at all of them for scientific research purposes. Food wise, Ruth’s has the best steaks, Flemings the best sides, and Buddy’s the best overall (it is by far the cheapest . The table bread was awesome. Steaks were cooked 100% perfectly, which is hard to get because medium means something different everywhere you go. I ordered the ribeye and my girl ordered the New York strip. The ribeye was better than the other three places ribeyes. My girl didn’t care for the New York strip, she said it was very salty. I didn’t notice, but the ribeye was definitely better. The salads were great. I ordered the chopped and my girl the Caesar. Both were great, and the chopped presentation was very unique. The sides were pretty disappointing. We ordered mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and broiled tomato. The tomato must have had sugar on it, it tasted like ketchup. The creamed spinach was bland, and the mashed potatoes tasted homemade (which is good for $3 side, but for a fancy steak place at $10 it needs to be otherworldly . Gave my girl a cheesecake since we were celebrating her birthday. Probably the best cheesecake we have had. Overall a fantastic experience. Our waitress Diamond was excellent and friendly. The water glasses did not get less than half full (or empty? . Bathrooms were immaculate."
