"Dined here 7 October and had a great experience. The owner was at the front and host stand and let us know that our table was still occupied (restaurant is TINY) and that we could enjoy drinks/appearants on their terrace outside. We received free Polnta bits for the waiting period and were soon brought to the table. Our main course was the sea red beef and roasted swordfish, and the dessert (which was amazing) was the chocolate truffle. Everything we ate seemed like the freshest, high-quality ingredients, and were all perfectly prepared with a touch of home on it. Our server was also attentive and friendly. To summarize, we loved the food, the service and the extremely intimate ambience. 5/...

Stop driving from Stowe to Boston. 100% return. The food was wonderful, service friendly. The amount of spices they use and sour they really make the food apart.

Kismet is offered by every other Montpelier restaurant in terms of ambience, service and quality of food and drinks. It is absolutely worth booking here and getting hungry. I was in many places like Kismet, but usually go without being full, what far from the scenario that was encountered here. The portions were large, even for the small plates, and you definitely have a selection of a variety of foods and kitchens.

I was very disappointed. We had the Huevos rancheros and the Carpaccio Benedict. The Huevos rancheros were so tasteless and watery that I barely finished a quarter of the plate. Soggy fried Polnta, Bland salsa and mediocre eggs (not even you get me started, including beet with huevos rancheros). The Carpaccio Benedict was a little better, but the plating was a total mess and the Hollandaise was also watery and bland. The espresso martini was so sweet that it was basically unimaginable. The coffee was pretty good. Maybe we just caught her on a day, but with a bill of $80 for Brunch I had hoped much better.
