"There are many factors that can contribute to a restaurant's greatness, including atmosphere, charm, service, and food. This restaurant has all of these qualities. The food, particularly the Al Pastor, is excellent, and the sangria is top-notch. The service is also outstanding, with quick refills of water and prompt attention to all needs. As a Los Angeles native now living in the DMV, I can attest to the difficulty of finding a good Mexican restaurant, but La Puerta Verde has definitely made it onto my list of favorites. Overall, don't hesitate to visit this restaurant for delicious food and drinks. You won't regret it."

The food and overall experience at this restaurant were fantastic. The staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious. My favorite dish was the poblano and corn soup, although I don't have a picture of it. The flavors in all the dishes were great, and the lamb, which is pictured, was seasoned perfectly.

Good mexican restaurant. Authentic food and good drinks. Love the vibe of the restaurant as well Got the fajitas and they were pretty good. The tacos were a little bit better and had a lot of flavor. Although the corn tortillas were a little soggy and brittle All and all if you are in the area it's worth a visit

Warning: I grew up in SoCal so I know my Mexican food! Corn tortillas are homemade. Carne asada taco had tasty tender beef. Pescado had an awesome mango slaw and crunchy battered fish. Elote loco (roasted corn) was packed with flavor. I basically ran through the happy hour menu and thoroughly enjoyed every taco. Flavors were punchy but balanced.
