My wife and I have been here for almost many months. This is by far the best meal you will find without traveling to Poughkeepsie or Rheinbeck. Their quality, coupled with consistently excellent service and great cocktails, makes them a place in the Amenia/Dover area.

My husband I may have to be 6 times in the last two years in Montes is a bit of a car, but it's always worth it! This St. Patty's Day we decided to take a trip to Armenia, it was a big decision! We had the BEST corn beef, cabbage and carrot dinner. Just delicious! It was busy, but we were invited to sit at the bar, and we had no waiting time. The new living room with fireplace is a wonderful addition! It was very cozy and the service was great. We'll go again... it's never disappointed!

The food is delicious and well executed. The atmosphere is the perfect mix of upscale farmhouse suitable for the farm to the table theme. I had the cal salad and the local Bourbon glazed duck on a busy Saturday evening and was very satisfied with the flavors and the attempt. My friend was super happy with his butcher's board and steak boiled MR as he wanted. The pair that joined us also enjoyed a Brussels sprout and wedge salads, steak and lamb. We shared two bottles of wine with reasonable price tags recommended by Chef Dafna Mizrahi, which I found pleasant to the earth despite her recent celebrity status as winner on Chopped.
