very pleasant dinner with my wife and a friend 50 years ago. we've eaten here before and will probably do it again when we're back in new york. a perfect neighboring restaurant in a large upper west side location.

the service was extremely hurried for a 6pm rez and a pretty empty space. eating was a total disappointment. sole meunière should be embellished, not deep fried. the fish was not fresh. absolutely incredible. I left it on my teller. the waiter never asked if I were in order because I am sure he knows that eating is inferior. I went to the house and had a bowl of musli.

hasn't been here since the pandemic. before I was five or six times in year. service and ambiente are still very nice, but eating is not so good. menu is a little bland/less interesting and our eating was completely in order, but not great. even the rollers lubricated a little stale/were hard. would not go back for eating, but perhaps only if I needed a place close to eating.
