"We were greeted promptly and advised that we would be seated shortly for our reservation. We were quicky taken back to our table with a great view of the historic district in downtown St. George. It just got better and better. Our server CJ welcomed us, gave us some basic information about the menu and answered our questions easily. He assured us throughout the evening that we were take our time with ordering and enjoying our meal. The food was amazing. The Bacon Wrapped Almond Stuffed Dates were melt in your mouth delicious. The Duck was tender and tasty and the sides were perfectly cooked and heaven on the tongue. My husband said his ribeye was the best he has ever had in a restaurant and...

Host was not friendly whatsoever. Sat us at our seats- several open tables , we said can we sit inside and his reply was we’re busy in a. Wry rude manner.

We’ve dined at Painted Pony for decades. The food was good but the menu never changed and the service was inconsistent. The cooks sometimes made ordinary dishes very unhealthy, like cooking mashed potatoes in duck fat, so we avoided taking anyone with a restricted diet there for fear of undisclosed levels of salt and fat. We are thrilled with the excellent service and hospitality and look forward to a more diverse and interesting menu with some heart healthy choices under the new owners.

"incredibly disappointed! first we have this restaurant for a birthday dinner on other options based on their menu, but once we were there, the menu was not what they have on their website. specific entrees that drag us to aragosta were not at all in the menu. I know the website state menu items can change, they will react with the nationwide lack of products it is difficult to get deliveries, but seriously if their printed menus are up to date their online menu should also be because guess what? there is no printing involved! the height of the wee that was available, again, weeping on the online menu were not on the printed weeping list, mediocre was best still the brandup was extreme. Thirdly, the time we waited for our food was unacceptable and when it arrived, it was cooked cold. the cabernet sauce with the chateabriand tasted no different than a glass shop bought brown engraving the duck, ordered medium rare, but served almost medium-heavy cold. the filet mignon was boiled on request, but hardly warm the Bernaise sauce tasted just like the packed powder mixture that it received in food business. nothing special or unique. next missing the service. our server apologised for the time it needed to get our wein later our meal times, and said that one of their server had to leave unexpectedly due to disease, but there were other support so that our water should have been refilled several times, but we had to ask for fillings they would help supply food before it became cold. all dinge considered the price we paid over $200 was not worth what we have the over 4 star rating is unnoticed. because we were not the only two in our party, we decided not to express our disappointment complaint at that time."
