"Excellent pizza on par with any other good pizza I have eaten in Italy or in a way more fancy place in la Jolla. The waiter also pretty likable and accommodating. The area might not be the best, but this fact is well reflected into the price so I am O.K. with that. We ordered one large pizza for the two of us and had plenty to enjoy. The beer on tap is listed between 7.50 and 8.00 they have to make money somewhere... but since it was the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday, they were nice enough to give us the happy hours rate at 5.00."

After a relaxing stroll thru the neighborhood, Pizza and Birre sounded like just what we needed. Sam was absolutely amazing! Funny, helpful and friendly! Pizza was amazing from the fresh dough to the to the generous toppings! Beer was cold and we were even gifted a cannoli for dessert! Such a gem!!! I highly reccomend! Will return!

I ordered the lasagna and margarita pizza. The sauce with the lasagna is so flavorfull. It has a good tang and herb flavor to it. The lasagna has a good mix of meat and cheese and was delicious. The pizza crust had a nice char to it with good sauce, fresh mozzarella and basil. It reminded me of some really good pizza I had in Florence Italy. This was my first visit and I will definitely be back for dine-in. Thanks for the amazing food.
