"We have been coming back to Crans Montana every year for 16 years we know what restaurants are available in the area, but for some reason had never tried Le Farinet, so decided to give it a go and had high hopes given the good reviews. However, we had a very poor experience. The service was extremely slow, it took 20 minutes just to bring us menus (and we had a reservation). I then ordered a dish with the primary ingredient being seitan and when the food arrived, quickly realized the seitan was missing. I notified the waiter and he said oh, I’ll ask the chef and brought the food back to the kitchen after which it took 20 minutes for the dish to come back to me with its intended primary ingredient. Meanwhile, the rest of the people I was eating with were waiting to eat their food and of course 20 minutes later, their food was cold. Mistakes happen, I understand but the worst part about the experience was the response and attitude to the mistake. No coming to the table while I was waiting for the food to apologize, explain the mistake and even when the food finally came and we were quite cross with the delay, no real sense of an apology, just very cold and matter of fact. Finally, when we asked one waiter for the bill, we waited 20 minutes only to have another waiter give us the dessert menu and had to ask for it all over again. Additionally, even though our experience was tainted by the bad service, I can honestly say the food was bland. A few people at our table got the quinoa curry dish and there was little to no hint of curry flavor and the seitan, when it finally came, felt like it was just thrown in with a watery broth. So overall, although it’s in a great location and has a nice terrace, I wouldn’t recommend Le Farinet go to one of the other lovely restaurants in Crans Montana, and you’ll have a better experience."

"Wir waren mit 16 Gästen aus der Schweiz und den USA zum Silvesterabend auf dem Continental. Die Kommunikation mit Sandra und Paul für die Buchung war sehr einfach und zuvorkommend.Das Essen und der Service waren ausgezeichnet. Wir hatten 2 Gäste mit Lebensmittelallergien und Paul nahm sich die Zeit, um mit ihnen vor dem Abendessen die Optionen zu besprechen und nahm die entsprechenden Unterkünfte vor.Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit und können dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen!Vielen Dank an Paul und Sandra"

"Nous avons fait un petit week end en amoureux à Anzère et avons voulu tester les Burger.Nous avons d 'abord tester leur bière artisanale conseillée. Certes... env. 6-7 fr la bière mais cela vaut la peine. Bière locale et très bonne! Sinon il y a des pressions ou autres boissons standardPour le repas mon chéri a prix un burger/fromage/bacon et a été ravi! super bon!Moi je n 'ai pas pu, intolérante au lactose j 'ai été privée de burger. Mais le serveur adorable m 'a conseillé d 'autre plat. j 'ai pris une simple salade.... mais ô combien délicieuse!!! la sauce une tuerie... et cela avait l 'air bien frais et avec du gout!j 'ajouterai, que le serveur connait bien sa carte, et sait bien renseigner sur les intolérances et allergies!Notre prochain passage a Anzère nous y retournerons!petit PS à un commentaire que j 'ai lu ici, sur ce restaurant oh mon dieu les dalles ont de l 'herbe entre elles ... heuuu est-ce un critère? on est en montagne... entre neige/pluie/soleil, je vous annonce que oui.. l 'herbe pousse! ahahah... non sans blague, je vois vraiment pas le problème et je ne comprends pas comment cela peut être gênant"

"Average burgers for above-average prices. Taste of the meat was disappointing. Burgers are too tall and therefore inconvenient to eat. Their homemade hot sauce was good though."

"Probably the best steak I have eaten outside of the US. The quality of the meat was excellent and the hot stone cooking method meant we could cook how we wanted. Staff were helpful and friendly (even though English was limited and we spoke very little French or Italian) and the food was well presented and brought to the table at a nice pace for a relaxed meal. Free antipasti (bread, olives and dips) was brought to the table which were delicious. In addition the cost of the set dinner menu was pretty good for an expensive ski area in Switzerland (even in the summer). Really good experience."
