"Very disappointing! It might have been because it was New Years but the server never asked how we wanted our meal prepared. We got a well done filet and a well done duck! Filet was grey and the duck had zero pink! We sent the filet back and the second attempt was better. The duck was over cooked and the skin was rubbery."

Christmas Eve Nothing about the place deserves a review. The fact that we got the entire dinner comped didn’t even save the evening. They should be ashamed.

Lovely ambiance, overall a great experience. The biggest surprise was the Passionfruit Caramel Torte, which was larger than we expected, but light enough so that we weren't over full.

"When I came in, I asked if they could make a dish without a fish sauce. They said they could use oyster sauce instead. He said it was shells. When I said I was vegan, he hit a variety of options, including wok dishes with soy sauce. I was very happy with the tofu, basil and aubergine roots I demanded. I didn't expect the meal to be so diverse. I asked about the three main articles and mushrooms. I also received water chestnuts, snow beans, green beans, carrots and cabbage."

"We had a very enjoyable dinner outside on the open deck (plenty of heaters). Our entrees, the beet pasta w/dungenous crab and lobster ravioli were outstanding. Cocktails were very nice as well. Our shared ahi starter was just okay. I would’ve liked a wider variety of wines by the glass, but overall or meal, and the ambiance, was excellent."

"Yum; best Italian fare I've had in a while and that's saying a lot cause I eat Italian often! The Gnudi was so divine I gave up being a vegetarian for 2 nites. So tender delicious. Also the portions here are unusually generous so it's worth every . Ands the little details, like a full half juicy lemon with my spinach...Things like that make a difference. I've recently moved back to Marin. I'm gonna be a Poggio fangirl regular!"

"the entire experience was very good, bigger/receptionist upbeat and inviting and brought us to our table, presented the menus to our server and thanked us. the waitress was very pleasant and professional and had good knowledge of the menu, checked frequently and thanked us. we asked the manager for another article when he was in the opposite and he reacted quickly. all in all good."

"That was a pleasant surprise. The ambience and location indicate your average Italian family restaurant. But the service was old-style (i.e. impeccable) and the food was just excellent. Each piece shows that the cook cares about itself. This approaches Michelin Star quality. I come from San Jose and don't come to Sausalito. But the price-performance ratio could make me skip San Francisco and cross the bridge for the occasional special dinner in Aurora Sausalito. This is not the place to impress your first date (the ambience is too generic), but it would be a good place to impress your gourmet friend, especially if they like Italian cuisine."
