"we liked that there were hands-anitary on each table, but we wanted to turn around when our shoes were stuck on the floor. there is no possibility that the personal did not notice because they could hear all the tracks. we arrived early, but the service was still slow and our eating came cold. it didn't taste very good. the only positive was that the plates had a beautiful presentation, but we wouldn't go back."

I searched for brunch... Found this gem! We were delighted with our order. He got Wakanda and I had the Waffle bites. The superhero theme was also very neat. It is small but mighty! The only drawback was the restrooms. a little yucky!

Excellent food, if visiting Louisville this is a must have! Prices were terrific and it was surprisingly light even though it was massive and looked thick. Sausage was the best sausage I’ve ever tasted. Expect to never be able to eat at any chain restaurant again. Chef Darnell is a genius!

They told us an hour wait and we waited 2 hours and 30 mins. Once we sat down our waitress didn’t come over for 15 minutes. she didn’t write our orders down and forgot half the order. once the meal didn’t come correct we told them and waited another 45 minutes for the other plate. But the food tasted great, the here’s the other plate below

"First let me say the atmosphere is amazing, although a little loud, but in an exciting sort of way, not in a can 't hear your conversation sort of way! Our server, Christian, was amazing! He is absolutely one of the best in the business! He was knowledgable about the menu, the history of the building, bourbon and wine and more! Now on to the food! The crab cake appetizer was the very best we had ever eaten! It was pure crab with just enough bread crumbs on the outside to hold it together! Just big hunks of crab! Yum! We had heard so many times that Repeal had the best steaks in the city so we had to check it out. I am sad to say we do not agree! My filet was overcooked and actually charred on one side even though I ask for it to be medium well (a little pink). My husbands steak was under cooked even though he ask for medium well also. Yes, we could have sent them back, but unless something is inedible, we rarely do. We were just disappointed more than anything, steaks were still very edible and good, just not great! The $20 twice baked potato was not worth $20 even though it did have slices of truffle on top and truffle oil as an ingredient. The Caesar salad was a disappointment! The addition of white anchovies was different but did not elevate the salad in our opinion. The bread pudding was amazing! I highly recommend! Oh, the cocktails were subpar! I know this sounds like a total tear down of Repeal, but it is not! I think we had too high expectations and were just let down by our experience considering the price! So, with all that said, would I go back? Yes! I would but would chose very different menu items than this time. And I would probably skip cocktails and go for wine instead."

"North of Burbon feels like a well kept secret that no one should be keeping to themselves! This place was EXACTLY what I was thinking of when I asked my friends to go to a place that embodied the whole bourbon tasting experience. Did not disappoint one bit! Offering a lavish array of bourbons and an equally impressive menu, it surely knows how to leave a mark on its visitors. During my recent visit with my wife and friends, we were treated to a culinary delight. The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the burger perfectly cooked, sumptuously seasoned, and even though it was a bit on the smaller side, the taste did not compromise. Each bite burst with flavors, assuring that size was not an obstacle to my enjoyment. Complementing the burger was a side of Mac and Cheese, which was nothing short of divine. The texture was creamy and comforting, yet not overly rich, crafted not with a typical cheese sauce, but with a medley of perfectly melted cheeses. It was a unique take that added a sophisticated touch to this classic comfort food. My wife, a fan of Southern cuisine, was overjoyed with her choice a beef PoBoy. She shared that it was delicious and the pairing with her choice of bourbon rounded out the flavors brilliantly. Speaking of bourbon, the variety available at North on Bourbon is commendable. The flight that I selected featured an array of Blanton's and Maker's Mark each with its own distinct profile that went hand in hand with our meal choices. The service was excellent, with a warm and welcoming staff that was attentive and knowledgeable. They guided us through the extensive bourbon selection and ensured our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. The only thing holding back a perfect five star rating is the slightly smaller portion of the burger, which although delicious, left me wanting a bit more. All in all, North on Bourbon combines a wide variety of quality bourbons with a delightful menu, creating a harmonious symphony of flavors that bourbon enthusiasts and foodies will appreciate. With its warm atmosphere, knowledgeable service, and top notch food, it's a place I would wholeheartedly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a great meal amidst the charm of Louisville!"
