"I love fusion, and I love the vision of Curry Patta bringing in fusion to make Pakistani cuisine more approachable and provide a new and exciting menu. We started with some drinks off of their new cocktail menu. They have an exciting list of standard cocktails made with unique ingredients. I decided I try the margarita flight, while my friend got the tamarind ginger mojito. The margaritas had a ton of unique flavors. My favorite of the night was the jalapeño, which had a nice kick of fresh jalapeño heat. My friend loved all the unique flavors in the mojito and I think that was a winner of the night. We had too many cocktails to name, but they were all delicious and well crafted. You can't go wrong! (They were boozy too! For our apps, we took recommendations from the owner and decided to try the Appetizer Sampler and the Chicken Tikka Nachos. The appetizer sampler had Chicken Samosas, Pakora, and Aloo Tikki. I LOVED the ground chicken samosas. They were packed with so much flavor and tender on the inside, crispy on the outside. The sampler was served with a cilantro and a mango dipping sauce and wow. The samosa in the cilantro was so fire. The aloo tikki was a version of a potato pancake. The spice level was there with a lot of flavor and heat, they were nice and crusty on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The pakora were also good, they are fritters with potato, onion and Pakistani spice. All three of these were amazing with the cilantro and mango dipping sauces! Now on to the nachos! Now this was a great fusion of an American style appetizer with Pakistani flavors. The nachos were loaded with flavor, jalapeños, veggies, cheese, sour cream and the chicken tikka on top was perfectly seasoned. For entrees, we were overloaded! We also took recommendations on these. We ordered the Chicken Tikka, Lamb Chops, and Paneer Makhni. My favorite was the Paneer Makhni. The thick and creamy sauce was literally perfect and the house made cheese (paneer was so tender and delicious. I brought the left overs home and enjoyed every bite. The basmati rice was the perfect pairing to soak up all of that creamy sauce. The basmati was perfect cooked and I loved how pretty the different colored grains were. Our other favorite was the lamb chops, which were marinated in spices and yogurt and cooked in a tandoori oven. They were so well cooked, tender, perfectly seasoned, and when you dipped the chop into the cilantro dipping sauce, there was a flavor explosion in your mouth. We liked the chicken tikka, but it was over shined by the other dishes. The Chicken tikka was a boneless chicken marinated in spices and yogurt and cooked in a tandoori oven. We of course also ordered some of the naan. The garlic naan was crispy and delicious, a must have pairing to any dinner. We couldn't resist ending the meal on a sweet note, and we ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake Naan. The naan was covered with cheesecake, macerated strawberries, and graham cracker. I loved that it was well balanced and not too sweet, and the strawberries super fresh. We loved this meal, and left talking about the next time we will come in. The place is small, but they are expanding! You can see the new expansion on the side when you walk in and I can't wait to check it out once completed. If you are looking for somewhere new to try, add Curry Patta to your list!"
