"Been coming up here from out of town for over 13 years, we have always driven by this place and always talked about trying it out. Today was our first time here and absolutely not our last. The owner, Jim, made us feel at completely at home. The service couldn’t have been any better. Also helps that we had a beautiful view of Lake Huron across the street. Now to the food. The pizza was not only the best we’ve had “Up North”, but some of the best we’ve ever had! (We’ve had pizza in New York and parts of Italy . Jim explained the science behind his recipes, down to the temperatures of water and crusts. Michelle and Larry will definitely be back..... maybe even tomorrow : . Well done Tawas Bay Pizza Co!"

"This BBQ is borderline on a religious experience. I'm not kidding, when I had my first bite of Cajun Deep fried Mac Cheese Chili, I experienced my entire BBQ existence in relativistic time spanning an entire millennial. I re-experienced every BBQ I've had in my short 40 years, culminating this exact day and time at Route 23 BBQ. The spicy notes of the chili accompanying the crisp of the fried Mac, the creaminess of the cheese, all created a food symphony in my mouth that likely caused a big bang somewhere in the multiverse. Don't walk, but run, this food item was on special, so act FAST!. It doesn't stop there, it was topped with brisket. 23 BBQ makes the best brisket and pulled pork in Michigan, at least in my humble experience. Maybe it's the best in this universe. I haven't been to other universes and I'm not a scientist so I can't confirm."

"This Dairy Queen is phenomenal. The restaurant is always clean and welcoming when we go and the staff is friendly and helpful! With more than one occasion, the staff has come to the dining area to simply check everyone to make sure they enjoy their treats and see if they needed anything. Also on the busiest days this is a great place to visit. Also, it is really wonderful to see an institution so willing and excited to give the young people of our community a place to earn money and learn to enter the labor force! Everyone seems to enjoy his jobs and it shows up through his customer service. Thank you East Tawas Dairy Queen!"

"This is a bar, I rsting iit as such...vs a high-end restaurant. Really great service. While I didn't expect much of food, it was really very good. I had the steak dinner I shared with my husband. More than enough for two people. They make their own ranch and blue cheese dressings. I can tell you the blue cheese dressing was from this world. You also get a loaf homemade bread that my husband said was very good. The beverage prices are about reasonable... I'd say CHEAP. It is a place where you can come and sit watching the game or just by the gentleman who played the guitar with a ton of different songs. We will definitely return when we are in East Tawas. I'm gluten-free, and while there were a variety of bare food, the menu was very adaptable as they make so much of a reason. I wish we remember the name of the waitress, she was so helpful with the menu for me. She was a blonde and is locatose intolerant, (helps? Lol) On our next return trip you will find us here."
