"Very welcoming space. There is a pleasant buzz of activity and energy in the restaurant, but it is not so loud that you can't hold a conversatoin. Servers are friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. The food selection is varied and appealing. They have fresh, tasty sushi. Everyone in our party of six enjoyed their entrees. The desserts, especially the chocolate cake are outstanding. It was an enjoyable evening. While we didn't sit outside they have a great patio that would be ideal for happy hour or a casual dinner. We will be returning."

The Turtle River Chophouse had been in our plans for some time and on our forty third anniversary it worked out. I am a picky eater and the waitress and chef at Turtle River Chophouse were totally pleasing. I expect Turtle River Chophouse will be our special place from now on.

This place has great food with a varied menu, try the crab cake and Filipino egg rolls appetizers! The service was fast and friendly even though we went on a night that was very crowded. They have lots of parking for all the people that come in. One thing that was kind of bad was the noise level. It was a crowded Saturday night and we had to holler across the table at each other. We'll probably try it again on a week night since it is a great place to go.

We had a crowd of 20 people and this seemed to overwhelm them. The food for half the table came out warm to hot, the other half was cold. It was clear that the first half of the order was sitting waiting for the second half. The food was tasty, but cold. For our group the next trip to Bemidji unfortunately will not include Turtle River. For smaller group of 6 people I think it would have been ok, or if all you want are appetizers it would be ok for a large group. Our server was very attentive, friendly and patient.
