"This place was pretty awful... We came in on Fathers Day and the place itself was fairly empty, but there was still a couple of groups waiting to be seated. I asked if we could get our name on the list and was told there was no list.. to just wait. Super odd, but whatever. The host, a young kid, not really friendly, but you could tell he just wasn 't having it that day. Eventually we get seated, our waitress is nice enough, and we order. It felt like forever, but we eventually get our food. Sad to say, it sucked. Everything sucked. The eggs, bacon, pancakes... they all either had a weird taste or were just bland. Even the coffee sucked. And it 's pretty hard to mess that up. Given that our...

I got the Belgium waffles breakfast. The waffles were bitter not good and the hashbrown were cold from the middle and the sausage had a nasty taste. First time being there. So i was surprised it was so empty. Now i know why. Maybe lunch is better!.Food: 1/5

We got the Cafes Best burger, which comes with bacon and avocado. We also got the chicken tenders with French toast and waffles and it was DELICIOUS. The food was great and the service was good! Thank you Alfredo for the great service! Will definitely return!Food: 5/5

First off, they do not even deserve 1 star. Horrible, horrible restraunt. The staff is unfriendly, rude and acts like I'm interrupting their day. The food portions are for a 2 year old, I think they counted the potatoes they put on our plate. Not sure why the waitress took our order because all of the food was wrong. Got up and left. I will never come back! They also offer a 10% senior discount but their computer doesn't allow them to apply it. Get some new management, I'm sure people only go there for the bar.

"The Lemon Leaf cafe, in Lancaster, is nice. The menu is limited. Here you place your order at the counter and a server brings your food to the table. I like this type of set up when I'm meeting someone and we are paying separately. It takes the awkwardness out of receiving the check. I ordered the soup of the day. It was some sort of bean soup. I can't remember the name or what my friend ordered. That is how unmemorable and unexciting the menu is at this cafe. The food was okay. Nothing special, at all. The decor was mediocre as well. The service was on the left side of okay, too. My companion ordered a cake to go and even though our plates were cleared and it was obvious we we had concluded our meal, the server never asked if she was ready for her to-go dessert. She had to go fetch it herself. Not a big deal but, it doesn't make for superior customer service. I didn't use the bathroom but, apparently a key is required. I will give them another try. It is in the only interesting area of Lancaster. It is on Lancaster Blvd. Lancaster Blvd is our City's attempt at an attractive meeting area with quaint shops like antique stores, a candy store, a few restaurants, Theaters, museum, etc..... but, the energy does not compare to places like The Orange Circle or Downtown Long Beach. The stores are basic and not special. However, we have nowhere else around the Antelope Valley. So. I will go back, when meeting friends."
