"Good food with okay service. Upon entry it feels like a standard sit down eat in restaurant but then the twist. For some reason they have you order at the counter, pay your ticket, grab your drink from the dispenser and sit down with a table tent. The server will bring your food and then wait your table like a normal experience. Not sure if they were having problems with dine and dash or just the servers not being able to take orders efficiently but it was odd. So when you walk in the have several menus on the counter for you to look at. It's a standard BBQ joint menu with all the regulars and nothing that jumps out. I went with the Three Meat Sampler and chose pulled pork, pork chop, and c...

Hog wings check amazing but too expensive for 1. They are like 7 bucks. Ribs are amazing! Highly recommend. The staff are all friendly. The facilities are very clean and plenty of seating.

Hair on my sandwich, replaced it with a burger that was raw, not even cooked. finally brought me my chicken sandwich with absolutely no topping that I paid for. FORGOT THE MAC AN CHEESE. last thing, the tomato's on the salad taste like they came out of the garbage.

Very good barbecue. You order at the counter and then they serve you at your tables. The servings are HUGE and the place was very clean. I liked that you still got your food on real plates with real silverware to cut your food. I had brisket. My daughter had the chicken thigh sandwich which overfilled the bun. My other daughter had ribs and she loved them.

"First let me say the atmosphere is amazing, although a little loud, but in an exciting sort of way, not in a can 't hear your conversation sort of way! Our server, Christian, was amazing! He is absolutely one of the best in the business! He was knowledgable about the menu, the history of the building, bourbon and wine and more! Now on to the food! The crab cake appetizer was the very best we had ever eaten! It was pure crab with just enough bread crumbs on the outside to hold it together! Just big hunks of crab! Yum! We had heard so many times that Repeal had the best steaks in the city so we had to check it out. I am sad to say we do not agree! My filet was overcooked and actually charred on one side even though I ask for it to be medium well (a little pink). My husbands steak was under cooked even though he ask for medium well also. Yes, we could have sent them back, but unless something is inedible, we rarely do. We were just disappointed more than anything, steaks were still very edible and good, just not great! The $20 twice baked potato was not worth $20 even though it did have slices of truffle on top and truffle oil as an ingredient. The Caesar salad was a disappointment! The addition of white anchovies was different but did not elevate the salad in our opinion. The bread pudding was amazing! I highly recommend! Oh, the cocktails were subpar! I know this sounds like a total tear down of Repeal, but it is not! I think we had too high expectations and were just let down by our experience considering the price! So, with all that said, would I go back? Yes! I would but would chose very different menu items than this time. And I would probably skip cocktails and go for wine instead."
