"We met up for a round of golf at a nearby course and decided to grab lunch at Willow on the Nipomo Mesa. Despite hearing mixed reviews about the restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised by the experience. We placed our order at the counter and found a table on the patio, which had large tables and plenty of umbrellas for shade. Our drinks arrived quickly and we enjoyed uninterrupted conversation until our meals arrived promptly with attentive service. The fish tacos were amazing! I'd definitely order them again. Large portions. My mom got fish and chips and said they were really good. My husband got pastrami said it was good, but needed more mustard. Order mustard on the side if you like it tangy. We went during the week and got seated right away. The service was excellent!

It has been a year and a half, but this experience is still very disappointing. I attempted to show support for local restaurants during the covid shutdowns by ordering take-out. Unfortunately, my burger was cold and undercooked in the middle. It was not rare, but raw. This was extremely distasteful. I cannot understand how difficult it is to cook a burger patty properly.

I have to say, Willow has had some challenges in the past. However, with the addition of a charismatic new waitress named CeeCee, things are really looking up. The food is still delicious and they now have a full liquor license. But what sets this place apart is CeeCee's excellent customer service and caring attitude. The rest of the staff could learn a thing or two from her. We are big fans of CeeCee!
