Party of seven for dinner. Server never informed us about the daily specials. Salads seemed to be out of a bag. While the menu states in fine print at the bottom that there would be a charge for substitutions, no notice was given. Stay away from the fingerling potatoes overcooked and appeared to be leftovers. Trout was under seasoned. Ordered an old fashioned arrived mixed with water. No notice of automatic gratuity. For the price, a huge disappointment. We will NOT be back…

We ate here on our first visit to Blowing Rock and are delighted we did. The food was delicious and the service exceptional! Our server, Suzie, was very friendly and attentive. We started with a fried brussel sprouts, bacon, and pistachio appetizer. Then 2 of us had the night's special salad while the other 2 had a wedge salad and a caprese salad. For the main course we enjoyed a special scallop dinner plus a mountain trout, venison chops, and salmon dinner. Servings were more than sufficient and everything was cooked to perfection. Cannot wait to return!!!!
