"updated: We have pizzas for the beach this week, 8/15/22. The service was good, pizzas were as usual, OK. When picking up, the phone rings the hook, but I guess we have our order early enough. Teaching is early to call. We get here occasionally pizza because it is nearby in Ponte Vedra, not necessarily the best it is certainly not, but at least it is usually predictable. They're always boiled, but if asked, they'll cook full. This time, after the multiple call no one ever picked up, nothing but silence for five, then again ten minutes. I have to admit that I tend not to go to Al's because I live closer to several pizza places in South PVC or Nocatee. Location means a lot. But yesterday we got a veggie pizza and a calzone because we drove home from the beaches. I just forgot what Calzone Al does. It has the perfect combination of ricotta and mozzarella cheese. I added mushrooms and pepperoni and the darn thing was wonderful. So fantastic that I had the feeling that I had to fall into a note to remember others. There are many possibilities in our area, but just don't forget As. They make very good pizzas and calzones.
