"Loved this restaurant! A couple of hours before our scheduled arrival, three friends decided to join us and we were able to change the reservation to accommodate five people instead of two. All five of us were impressed with the food and the service. Our server was excellent, despite being extremely busy with several groups in her station. Our server was excellent, always right on time with out next order and very attentive. Food was very good, not necessarily exceptional but certainly was very good. Oysters were delicious and very fresh. Sushi was right on point, although you weren't given much Wasabi!! Main entrée was a fish stew (bouilabasse I know its' spelled wrong! which was very tasty but the calamari was a tad overcooked... but still delicious!!

This is my second visit to Blue Point. Our first visit was excellent. However, this time, the restaurant was very short staffed our waitress did the best she could and I would never fault anyone for lesser service in this situation. My food was the real disappointment this time. My entree, fried perch, was absolutely terrible overcooked and dry. It was tough and flavorless. Very disappointing. Because I had a great experience the first time, I will it one more shot before I remove it from my list.

drive to valparaiso from chicago so that our daughter, who participates in the valparaiso university, could take us to the birthday party of our sohne. he wanted seafood and spent some time in japan so he demanded sushi. we all enjoyed our dinner, but in no way needed a reservation. we were the only ones at 5 o'clock. our son gave the sushi 6 of 10 and was satisfied. the rest of us also enjoyed our seafood plates. the personal was very attentive. good little place to remember when we are in valparaiso.
