"My family and I ate there on 1/28/22. It already started off as a bad night because we live an hour away and needed to go to a local store that way and taking 3 children anywhere especially after school is difficult. So the wife decided she wanted cracker barrel. I am usually not one to say yes lets take all the kids out to eat. I have eaten at hundreds of restaurants across the country. Let me say our waiter Lamar was the best waiter I have ever had. He was seriously impressive. From his service to his hospitality to how he handled having a table with 3 kids. He spoke to the kids in a funny yet caring way. He went out of his way when just walking past to say stuff to the my kids and they loved him. I will say as a business owner this man is an asset and is top notch. Very professional and excellent at his craft. He was the best waiter i have ever had and i will continue to eat there and request him if i am in the area. Cracker barrel needs to take notes on this man because he changed my view point on how a waiter and the hospitality industry should operate."

"We ate an early dinner here while visiting Pittsburgh for the National Senior Games. Our server, Michelle, took excellent care of us and recommended the Salmon Fresca to me, which was outstanding. My husband enjoyed his Shrimp Alfredo. If we lived in the area, we would return here often."

"This is a wonderful spot for a handcrafted sandwich and a craft beer. It offers a unique gourmet grilled cheese concept with a variety of creative grilled cheese options to choose from. The sandwiches are served with homemade chips and tomato soup, but substitutions can be made for a different side. In addition to their grilled cheese offerings, they also have wings, burgers, and flatbreads on the menu. They have a selection of over 30 craft beers on tap to pair with your meal. During my last visit to the Shadyside location, I tried the kielbasa pierogi sandwich and really enjoyed it. This time, I opted for the patty melt-style "Patty Mayonnaise" sandwich. Unfortunately, they forgot to include the white cheese sauce that should have come with it, and the sandwich was quite greasy, but overall it was decent. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try, especially if you enjoy creative sandwiches."
