"As a local that comes here regularly, this was the worst its ever been. I had to ask for service bc the waitress just kept chatting with her outgoing table instead of greeting us. The menu changes were disappointing. The temp inside the restaurant was more oppressive than outside. Don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon. Hopefully tourists pay better."

I have always loved City Tap and take many friends there. Really good food and excellent service. I was so dismayed last night to see they had loud live music. We couldn’t hear our friends talk. I always praised this place because it was one quiet restaurant in downtown. Now not anymore.

The waitress suggested the wings and they were amazing. They were dry, spicy, and sweet. I ordered the Cajun shrimp with grits and greens, and it was delicious. The grits were so creamy, which was a pleasant surprise since I had never tried them before. My husband had the chicken and waffles, and he also really enjoyed them.
