"UPDATE to BUSINESS RESPONSE: I drove past and the line was on the road, so I decided to give them an attempt. While I heard they were on FYI Philly, so the line explains. I came in line before opening (noon) and ordered three plates (2 ribs (poor and beef) 1 pulled pork plate. I was told, 20 minutes waiting for my order. That should have been 12:20. Twenty minutes later and beyond turned into 1:33 PM when I finally got my food. Now let's eat, the food is definitely overpriced and the portions are small. The bovine ribs were overboiled and dry. Mac and cheese and green were good. The grain bread I could have done without. It was overly sweet and burned. How black and burned. Whomever sent th...

Just came from the place and the food and service was great. I ordered the rib platter with collard greens and candy yams. The greens were seasoned rights and the yams tasted like the way my grandma made them. My wife and I plan to return. The food was ready in less than 15 minutes. It was hot and the ribs sauce was spicy to my liking.

The sides were terrible... the Makkaroni was very casual and the Koleslaw was pink, very sweet and too liquid, and they forgot my corn bread. The chicken was boiled and very dry. The beef was ok, but cold and not worth $36 in any way. In addition, the meat tasted as if it were smoked, not grilled. Will I return... No! Prices are too high for quality food.

It was the first time to eat in this place. I saw it on FYI Philly and couldn't wait to check it. My friend and I were very happy and satisfied with our selection. He eats meat and he wouldn't stop talking about how good everything was. That says a lot because he's special about his food. He also had the Yams and kragen Grüns . Again I did not hear a complaint. The food was also very affordable, which is a plus in my book. Delicious and affordable

"We were there celebrating two birthdays. Our server Faith was wonderful. She was attentive without being intrusive and knowledgeable about the menu. We were a table of 6 and ordered quite a bit of food, some of which was great and others lackluster. The bao buns were great and the small calamari salad was huge and those who had it said delicious. The spareribs were good as well as the edamame dumplings, although the way those were served made it hard to fully enjoy. Each dumpling should be on a individual type spoon so you can enjoy the soup part as well as the dumpling. The way they were served in one large bowl with only one spoon made it so the soup part is left at the bottom. I did request extra spoons from the expediter but they never came. The worst part of our appetizer course was somehow an item was switched to another in the computer and served to us. It had shellfish in it and that wasn’t known when someone at our table who doesn’t eat shellfish ate it. The sashimi was good but the tuna tartare thing was really bad. The entrees we had were the duck, which I was told was delicious, the miso cod, which was fishy, the whole fish which was tasteless, the lobster fried rice, which was okay but lacking flavor. The best dish was the black pepper beef, it was delicious and elegantly served. We had all the sides and all were quite good especially the eggplant and the wasabi mashed potatoes. It was a nice evening but it felt a little stale for a Starr restaurant."
