"My friend and I had tickets to ‘Copenhagen’ so we wanted to have dinner at Julia’s beforehand. The dining room is elegant as is the rest of the old building. The place has a soul. Even though the restaurant was quite busy the noice level did not become irritating. We shared a salad and I had a plant based vegan dish with cauliflower and a nice sauce. We finished with a pear tart for dessert. It was delicious. This was not another dinner out but a dining experience. How nice it was to finish dinner and walk downstairs to see the play. I highly recommend Julia’ Restaurant. It is housed in a beautiful Julia Morgan building."

Everything about Julia's is lovely; the food is delicious and interestingly prepared, the service low-key but very attentive and personal, the decor soothing and pleasant. I arrived at the last minute and they were able to fit me in despite seeming to have a full house. What a nice evening!

We had a lovely evening here in an historic environment. The classic old California design is everywhere and one should wander around the City Club while here. It's truly special and just live Hearst Castle. The food was quite good, classic French. Service seemed as though done by students, enthusiastic but not professional.

We enjoyed yet another wonderful meal here. The menu was interesting and offered great choices. Most of us chose the price fixe meal, which was superb, from the excellent appetizers to the beautiful dessert.. The corn soup was especially tasty. The service was charming and attentive, and the presentation was as nice as the flavors! :. This is a place for a very happy experience, start to finish.
