I was jonesin ' for some good mexican food, but refused to eat at the usual Americanized establishments I did a driveby : to look and this place had only Latino customers my hopes were raised, and I gave it a go. We have lived in Irvington for three years and have passed this place a thousand times. We finally went in last week. It is the best I have ever gad (well other then my Grandmother's). The prices, the service, the cleanliness all great! The authenticity is unreal! I am so upset we didn't try it sooner. Don't let the look or location keep you from stopping in. You will not be upset for giving it a try.

Our server was very friendly and asked all the right questions to make sure we got what we wanted. The menu is in Spanish with rough English translations. I ordered the whole fried fish and my partner got pork bits-carnitas maybe? Both were delicious. An array of fresh sauces/salsas were brought to our table and the server explained what everything was. Freshness was very evident in all the delicious food, and the avocado was perfectly ripe. This is a Mexican seafood restaurant, not your more common 'Combos #1-22 ' place.

Best I've ever had. I was looking for a place to eat after a long run and decided to stop in. Like others mentioned, the menu is in Spanish with rough translations. I was fine with that. I picked up a few chicken soft tacos and a chicken quesadilla. The tacos were each served on two corn tortillas and were excellent. The quesadilla was also very good but I'd get the tacos. I also saw a few whole fish platter come out that looked very good. I took my order to go and they sent along a verde sauce and a very spicy orange sauce. The food was fresh and delicious. We ended up going back for dinner also!
