"for the first time visitors today! we really enjoyed it! I had the rueben with tweebel rings, my friend had the philly with fritten. we cannot find anything that could be changed or improved with our meal times! service was also excellent! fabulous awesome experience and will certainly return. "We asked our friends from the Village of Oak Creek where they would like to have dinner one evening. They chose, Manzanita, a restaurant they had not visited for some while. We 're so glad they did. The atmosphere was one of fine dining with a menu selection of German traditional food, steaks, game and some seafood. The choice of wine, whilst not extensive, provided quality and options. All the food chosen by our party was of a high standard and cooked to perfection. It was interesting that the owners have stuck with the tradition of 'soup or salad ' a lovely little twist to the evening. Another nice gesture was for Randy, the chef owner, to walk amongst the tables and talk to the guests about the food and other general chit chat. The service was not quite upto European standard. The servers need some continuation training, especially the younger ones. To enhance the experience, maybe some of the attributes of 'silver service ' should be considered. With communication being a key, not hand gestures and piling the plates on the table. All staff were friendly and knew their role, so the quality of waiting-on did not detract from us having a wonderful evening. I would suggest confirming any booking verbally, as the venue is rightly very popular especially on prime rib nights.."

"Waitress was disrespectful and did not allow us to grab an extra chair from any of the 4 other empty tables. This place is also not dog friendly despite having plenty of outdoor space. They also do not allow people in some of their unoccupied outdoor areas. Their waitress need to have better service and be more friendly. I would not recommend this place"

"If you're in Sedona, the drive to Harry's Hideaway is certainly worth it. Don't miss this special treat. The appetizers are great, and enough to share. The Crab Cake is the best in California, made by the Chef, a Maryland native. The Croat is bite-sized Beef Wellington. Yum. There is a choice of entrees. I chose the Dal Mar (Italian) with Scallops and Ravioli. The three-cheese ravioli is creamy, tasty and satisfying. My husband chose the Beef Stroganoff, a new version. I am a purist her, but he loved it. For dessert, we shared the twin Apple Tartlets al la mode. That was gone in a flash. Perfect. This is an interesting, personal restaurant. You will love the experience."
