"Table reservation is definitely necessary especially in the weekend. The interior is very cosy and has a real south german atmosphere. If you love wines this is the place to be. A wide selection of all kinds of wines. The sekt and white wine we...had were delicious. One of the best of the whole holiday. The main dish tasted magnificent. Dessert was okay but after such great main dish I expected perhaps more. But what this place made th stars were the service. Especially the well dressed and well spoken waiter knew how to make a difference and how to serve a customer"

We went to Peterle on a Saturday evening. Without reservation which we would recommend anyhow in this area after our experiences. The waiter organized space on the main table and was very friendly. Our old son got paper and coloured pencils, s baby chair...and a very good children meal. The cordonbleu my wife had was delicious! My rump steak was great! One of the best stakes I‘ve ever had. The dessert was great too. Regional products make with love Thanks a lot

We just had a family lunch in this very nice place. The location is amazing, the service was truly hurtful and professional and the food was excellent. We were a big group so we had the chance to try a wide range of the menu....The fish was superb. My rump steak was from a tender high quality beef, cooked just right. I also tried the bread knudel which was homemade and very good and l the chicken. We had all a very good time and wouldn't hesitate to come back. Excellent local regional kitchen

"For years we have been making a carnival holiday in Hinterzarten and until last year we have always been home guests in the Schwarzwaldhof; details about the hotel and the restaurant I am saving at this point, that can be all on the Internet under [here link] also the menu. Especially at the carnival time (or even at Christmas) there is a lot of going on in hints and in most restaurants you have to get really luck without booking; this applies both at lunchtime and in the evening. Individuals or couples may have luck; Groups are odd. We ate the peasant vesper plate at the peasant stable of the Schwarzwaldhof in the afternoon; as they already know and at the price of just EUR 7.00, this plate is already almost unbeatable. Two slices of coarse liver and bloodworm, each two slices of swarms, bacon and black forests of hamspeck, onion rings, cucumbers and dark peasant bread. Tastes really very good and is saturating until evening when you brush the plate completely. Here the price/performance ratio is really very harmonious; for all dishes, especially from the lunch or evening ticket, this does not apply in the Schwarzwaldhof. And for me a little manko on the edge: there is no red house but Fürstenberg! The ambience in the peasant stüble is extremely rustic and somewhat antiqued in the other restaurant rooms. The rooms are okay; above all we liked the tower room with skybed very well! Our serviceman in the Stüble was, first of all, talkable, and straight to a Lexicon on two legs; for hours, I wouldn't have carried him, good friend back or back!"
