"I was recommended this place by a good friend...he said it was one of his favorite places in Portland. I read a couple of the bad reviews before writing mine and don't understand, our experience was 5 star across the board. This place is very authentic. The person who greeted us, sat us quickly. The bread and oil for starters was a hit. I asked the waiter what he recommended...he told me that the La Burina was his favorite. I would have never chose that...so I went for it. It was incredible. Make sure you order a side of their parmesian cheese to dump on the top....just wow. Service was fantastic. When we got the bill...what a nice surprise. $69 bucks for appetizer, 2 drinks and 2 entrees.....

What can be said about this place!?!? It's just a consistently excellent home cooked Italian restaurant. Everything is fresh, pasta aldente, salads crisp, and one of the best tiramisu's in the city! This place was great! No real atmosphere to speak of, but the food was far beyond what you get at most pasta places! The pasta was light and homemade and the sauce was not acidic or greasy- it was like my mom makes… only better! It made me feel like I was in Italy where the food is simple but so tasty and fresh! Definitely a place we’d return to!
