"Piccolino Italian Ristorante took very good care of us when two couples joined us there for dinner. Bottles of cabernet sauvignon and Montepulciano accompanied well our food. We enjoyed flavorful Caesar salad with anchovies. One friend ordered the meatballs appetizer, a specialty that he loved. Other friends liked very much caprese salad, with excellent tomato and cheese. Their son, who is fussy, was very happy with specially made and cut up chicken Milanese and French fries. Entrees were very good: chicken parmesan, veal parmesan, fillet of sole francaise. We liked our side dishes of spaghetti with marinara for my husband and our friends and sauteed green vegetable for me. Coffee and cappu...

Delightful neighborhood place small menu and few specials. The ravioli and fish dishes were delicious. Eggplant rollatini was as light as air! And the tiramisu was heavenly. Could do without the cappuccino as the espresso coffee wasn 't a favorite but that is being very nitpicky. Excellent food; wonderful service. Unfortunately they close out of season so you won 't have a chance until October 2023. Suggest you visit in the fall for a wonderful meal.

This was our third time at Piccolino's and each time the food was excellent! The spaghetti bolognese was the best I've ever had, my husband's veal parm was tender and so delicious. But the piece de resistance was the filet of sole francaise! We also were impressed with the meatballs...so tender and flavorful...not spicy. And the tiramisu was fabulous. We are very taken with this place...the owners are so warm and the ambience is comfortable and welcoming. ..looking forward to returning soon!

"Decent at best. That’s all really. It is very noisy- by design. Look up and you’ll see why. The ceiling is designed to carry the noise from the bar throughout the restaurant. And honestly I don’t care to listen to the bumpin music they’re playing at the bar when we’re at our booth 50+ feet away. It is also very dim. Extremely poor lighting, according to our waitress (who was very nice) this is also by design because other diners have made comment about this too and she said she’s mentioned it and the feedback she gets is “it creates the ambience.” Yeah okay…… “ambience.” The food is decent at best. Caesar salad was pretty good. But what is up with the streak being doused in butter? There was a pool of butter on my plate around my steak. Is the lighting dim in the kitchen too? Can the chefs not see what they’re doing? All in all, New York Prime is not any better than Morton’s or The Capital Grille. In fact, we probably should have gone to one of those two. There’s nothing New York about this restaurant at all. After returning home we decided to check out New York Prime’s website and read their menu story about how “New York Prime is a different kind of steakhouse.” If you ever want a laugh, read that. You’ll tear up, it’s hilarious. Proprietors seem very full of themselves! Anyway, we were very unimpressed, will definitely not be returning."
