"My wife and I were eager to try Biaggi’s after Consumer Reports ranked it higher than Magiano’s. We were seriously disappointed. HIGHS: The house wine/Chianti was very good; the bread was excellent; the atmosphere was excellent; kids pizza was good. LOWS: The Capellini di Mari was awful. The chef was heavy-handed with rosemary (or Thyme? , the calamari was overcooked and the scallops were under cooked/without a sear. The North Atlantic Cod was not good at all. The spices/combination was too heavy and detracted from the natural flavors and lightness of the Cod. Neither dish seemed to be in balance. "Love to stop at Chocolateirs and see what they have to offer, especially when they make it in their state. Such a fabulous variety of truffles, which is my favorite chocolate and mist times. I'm disappointed with the flavors. Not disappointed this time as the Raspberry Truffle was good along with the Raspberry granche, too. Bought some Raspberry Strawberry chocolate, which I've never seen before, and they were tasty and true to flavor. Found some carmel popcorn with chocolate drizzle for little brother. My goal when I'm traveling is to support local stores always. This place would defeat a return trip for some specialty chocolates."

"we were here earlier and had a great time with great food, about a year ago. there's something changed. the carpaccio was pasty, the wagyu flat iron steaks were hard and cold, and the framed spinat and mushrooms lacked salt / flavor. and the garnelen sampi steak that hit with the huge garnels was insensitive, the garnels were so overcooked that I literally had to bite as hard as I could get through the first one and I could not do the first. they were friendly enough to take the price of garnel from the bill. the ambiente was overwhelming, the piano player played so loud to override the gas house that everyone had to scream over him. it was as loud as a sporty one. my man, who is hard to hear, could not hear anything I said all the meal, and his service dog was also very concerned. overall, for a meal near $300 for 2 people with wein, appetizer, 2 main courses, 2 pages, and still a generous tipp for the waiter (that was not his fault, so why short him in a tipp,) we were incredibly disappointed and will not return."

"Oh, this is a great place for a leisurely family dinner. There is no loud music. You can talk to your family in peace. It's so unusual. The staff is very friendly and courteous. We arrived for dinner and found a place for us. I recommend taking snails according to the recipe from the chef. They are in an amazing creamy sauce with mushrooms. We were also surprised by the onion soup. It's easy to spoil it, but here it's gorgeous. We also liked the children's menu it is very homemade. The kangaroo meat was soft and delicious. I recommend to try it. The Sirloin steak was cooked superbly. The portions are human and that's great. We enjoyed the homemade salad. I liked the bar card. A large selection of drinks. It's a great place. Looks like we'll definitely be back."

"Jax has always been one of my favorite seafood places from back in the day in Denver before Rockies games. And while Jax is still a super solid albeit pricey call for food, their Happy Hour just isn 't the same as it once was. The amazing duck fried rice seems to be completely off the menu. The wedge salad, although still on the main menu, has been removed from HR. Replacing these (and other) classics seem to be riffs on gumbo that just isn 't that great. The always solid muscles have been reduced to only one preparation and the portion size is so dinky it bears no resemblance to what it used to be. It also comes with toast to soak up the delicious juice...one piece...my table of four had to fight over one dinky piece of toast. C 'mon Jax, stop cheaping out. As with so many things in the world, people seem to forget what got them to success and commit hari kari in the name of 'being new and fresh ', 'reinventing themselves ', or certainly apropos here, try to pinch a penny. You guys used to be so good..."
