"Met a friend from Barclays (CW’s is in the bottom of the Barclay’s Building, located on the Wilmington Riverfront) on Friday night and was amazed at the patio full of people at 5:00pm in Wilmington in the summer. We tried a few items on the Tapas menu as we enjoyed the crowd amongst the backdrop of the river view. Beautiful “Harbor Girl” Stephanie kept the food and libations coming at a steady, yet unrushed pace. The food was exceptional, the service great, and the patio was just an incredible time. It went from a restaurant to a night club right before my eyes without being cheesy in any way! Definitely the hottest spot in Wilmington right now!"

This is the new name for Conley Wards on the Riverfront. It is a beautiful place both inside and out. They offer full meal choices as well as burgers and tapas and have a very nice wine cellar. They have some tweaking to do for consistency. A jumbo blue crab plate showed up with one of the crabs about the size of spider and one plate of vegetables had not been cooked at all and were raw and cold. Both were corrected promptly. We will definitely give it another try. The bars outside looked fun for a summer evening.

"Atmosphere:When you first walk in, you are greeted with a weird smell, however the ambiance and decor was very beautiful.Service:We were seated promptly and besides the sauce missing from one of the dishes, the service was ok.Food:The best thing there are the soups that come with your meals. There are 3 options: hot and sour, egg drop, and miso. My husband had the Mongolian beef lunch (not pictured) and it was suppose to be spicy according to the menu but instead there was a thick dark sauce that was overbearing and it had minimal beef slices. I had the lunch special sushi with 2 basic rolls. Both basic in taste. Rice was not sushi grade, there were hard parts of the sushi rice which leads me to believe it had been sitting out for a while. Weird considering we got there at 11 when they opened. I also ordered the tuna supreme or tuna tornado (I don’t remember the name) specialty roll and it was suppose to have tempura tuna with tuna on top and a few other things. The tempura tuna tasted like canned tuna. My sister ordered the crab Rangoon which was ok. More cream cheese than crab (but it was still tasted good). She also got the scorpion King roll which was suppose to have tempura inside it but obviously that tempura was made in advance because it was not even warm. My pet peeve with sushi is when the parts of the sushi are not made fresh to order. Old rice, old tempura, canned fish. Hamachi Kama was also ordered and it came without the ponzu sauce. Hamachi Kama is traditionally grilled or broiled but this was pan fried. I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately I won’t be going back. However there many customers who really liked it from what I saw."
