"We love to stop in here for lunch when one of us has a hair appointment nearby. There are so many great pastries that are made here everyday. You'll need to come early to get your hands on the best ones. What the best ones are is up to interpretation though. The lunch menu is also very good. There are sandwiches, salads, and crepes, which are all excellent I usually for the special sandwich, a chicken with cheese and so much goodness. The staff are very friendly too! It's worth a stop."

Count on it good. Yes. This place. The owner is French. From near Grenoble, I think. Whether savory or sweet, count on this place. Soups, croissant and breads from, well France-Ahhh, and those sweets like eclair, pain au chocolate, or sweeter, like tartes. Come here. Try it. Eat then take home dessert or tomorrow breakfast.

We love this authentic French bakery, and the owners! This has become our favorite weekend brunch spot, as we visit Lost Coffee next door then sit down here for some delicious croissants and quiche. Their sweet treats are all beautifully made and very tasty, and you always get a friendly greeting and service with a smile. Go soon because they are retiring in June!

"I've been going to Castle Cafe for quite a few years have never been disappointed with anything. The building is historic thank goodness they've maintained its original character. I'm not a fish eater, so I can't comment there. But the buffalo meatloaf, chicken fried chicken chicken fried steak are as good as it gets in Colorado. The soups are homemade (like everything else) are on spot the cream of asparagus is the best I've had, ever. But the real reason to go here is for the pan fried chicken. OMG, my mouth waters just typing pan fried chicken. I swear it's just like my grandma made in her well seasoned cast iron skillet. Oh so crispy on the outside, oh so moist on the inside. There's a fair number of elderly folks that come here with families etc., so they are a bit light on seasoning, but nothing a dash of salt pepper doesn't fix. The pan fried chicken isn't cooked ahead of time stuck under a heat lamp, so if you're not willing to wait the 30 minutes it takes to cook, go to KFC. The mashed potatoes are lumpy with skin on, just the way they should be. If you like mashed potatoes made of flakes from a box, go to Denny's. Homemade Parker rolls are served in a basket covered with a red white cloth napkin just like grandma did. Drenching them with the boat of cracklin' gravy is almost a meal in itself. Ohhh the cracklin' gravy, if I could get away with just guzzlin' a boat or two, I'd die happy be off to clogged artery heaven yes, it's that good! And the service it's like eating at someone's house with family serving you. They are a great group that try their darndest to make your visit a good one. So, if you like good ol' down home homemade cooking, have just a little patience to wait for good food to be prepared after you've ordered it, go to Castle Cafe. If you're an impatient whiny butt sniffler, stay the heck out of my town go eat hummus in LoDo."
