"Overburden, underoccupied, overcooked. They sat a party of 40!!! In the dining area. We had to wait 2.5 hours for our food. When we got it, the signature Ribeye Steak was completely overdue and rigid and the sides were lukewarm. We usually only eat in the bar and have great service and food. This was our 4th or 5th time in the dining room and every experience ends badly. Lesson"

Ribs were great, not drowned in sauce really good dry rub. Tri tip was delicious, but overcooked and hard. Service was impeccable! Very pleasant time!

Have a miracle experience here at Far Western Tavern Essen. The food was great. The service was exceptional, they were very attentive to getting our table and asking us if we need anything. Recommend this fine restaurant.

If you travel to the Central Coast, you would be served well by a visit to Far Western. It is a fantastic restaurant only to visit locals. Would strongly recommend the Mac N Cheese Relleno, a steak and a glass of RiverBench Pinot.
