"Do not try to go for Kareoke or a special personal event!! This place is suitable for watching a game. I booked a kareoke room in advance and made a note it was for a 50th birthday. When we arrived, the half awake hostess didn’t greet us, didn’t seem to know what was going on, dropped us into a kareoke room. We had to figure out everything- only to find the microphones didn’t even work! No one came In the room to greet us, it was super loud bc of the sports fans yelling at their TV. Read some scary reviews about it being overrated and not worth it… If the prices weren't so high I'd absolutely recommend this place to everyone. Other than that and them not having Bleu cheese dressing for my Buffalo sandwich (which was amazing! I loved it!

Food is decent but the portion sizes are absurdly small. Ordered Carne Asada tacos and the tortillas are four inches across on three tacos. An appetizer, maybe, but thats not an entree. We also ordered the steak sandwich, once again it was good but small. The shuffleboard table also has a very bright LED strip underneath making it hard to see and read the menu. Bizarre decorating choice.

Unfriendly service at their Christmas bar! The server was Cat F. We were visiting Salt Lake City for Christmas and decided to pay a visit to Flanker's Christmas Parlor. It was this area in the back of the restaurant that they had decorated in a Christmas theme. It was well decorated and very festive and we were in a fab mood until we sat at the bar and ordered our Christmas cocktails and the service was so unfriendly. You would think bartenders serving Christmas cocktails should have a certain … – show

"I speak as a tourist. I was delighted this place has dedicated, on-the-menu options – as it is apparently open late, it would seem to be worth keeping in mind for that reason. This, and the empanada's great value, lead me to give it three stars. That said, there were some oddities. I got the vegan arepa and the vegan empanada. They were both filled with *exactly the same ingredients* and the empanada was bigger than the arepa – but the arepa costs more than 2x as much. Given these circumstances, and the fact that I liked the empanada more, I can see the empanada being a great deal for a vegan looking late night or for a bit of variety. Both of them were on the bland side, however, and far from imaginative. I did enjoy the plantains in both; otherwise, it was mainly black beans and some avocado. (From the menu, it appears that their several vegan items seem mainly to be rearranging these same ingredients. The small amount of chimichurri I was given added some flavor and was ok, but did not knock my socks off. None of it was bad, and I do think they made at least the arepa fresh with decent ingredients, but there just wasn't much flavor. Finally, they use big styrofoam packaging for to-go, which is actually enough to mean I would avoid eating here again. (Not being a local, I don't know how common this is, but I know it's not even nominally recyclable in SLC and that not all places do it. Updated from previous review on 2021-09-05"
