"Update:. They changed up their game. My once favorite place is better than when they switched ownership. I appreciate responsive service. The new chefs are lively and friendly. The good is much more expensive than it used to be and the portions are smaller but I assume that is every post pandemic restaurant. Used to be my favorite and fantastic. Showed up an hour before closing and was forced to order to-go. Make a change in the hours and make it clear that you don't actually close at your closing time. Been coming here for years and I brought family out who were on vacation. Not going to keep coming. It's worth driving somewhere else to be fed. So sad."

We were staying in Lakewood for one night and popped in after doing a random search for sushi. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is very pretty. It had a very well-kept and clean Koi pond indoors. The owner also waited on our table. She was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered three different rolls, Gyoza‘s and miso soup and we were very happy with our meal. Service: Dine in

Everything about this place was amazing! The wait staff were nice and not overbearing in their attentiveness; a lot of vegetarian options and a lot of food options in general. Our whole party loved everything we ordered! The ambiance is nice, it's quiet, very decorative and the surprise part was the koi pond and walkway at the entrance. I've already recommended Kyoto to several people and will definitely be going back! Some of the best food I've had in Lakewood.

We visited this restaurant after hearing about it from a lot of our Seattle friends. We were welcomed with the beautiful waterfall and the Koi fishes. This set up the beautiful ambiance that made us feel at ease. What came next was the delicious food, specifically the different sushi's and crabs and fishes. Miso soup was a hit. The staff were attentive and the restaurant was reasonably, price. Will be going back again and highly suggested to everyone with special occasion or celebration.
