"I was initially referred to this place to eat the black beans veggie burger it was said to be vegan. mushroom duxelle, which is used in this dish (that is hit or miss how it can have hard understaffed bits in it), contains butter. the sriracha aioli is made with mayo. the portabello burger has two types of cheese and even if they don't tell them a cheese and that they are vegan, they will still be the breadth butter. their other choice is: clear salate. last but not least I found haare in my food. the chef I was sweating about eating, yelling at me. (this is after I have my eating with hair in it again nicely sent several times) the toilets are absolutely disgusting. if they are not vegan,...

unless they are looking for only beer (what they are a full of) I would recommend to them to pass this place. although it is true, there are options that could be made vegan, they seem to be less than happy to offer.

the anchor has its typical pub-style food, but a thing that really stands out are fries there. they have about 5 different French options that they can choose and they are all delicious. the atmosphere is also quite neat and they have 2 different rooms that make it perfect when they eat a large group there.

Traveling through Kansas and finding a decent place to eat as a primarily plant based eater can be challenging. Seeing the other review of The Anchor encouraged me to give this place a try. I had the portobello mushroom sandwich which was delicious with sweet potato fries. It could be made vegan leaving off the cheese and I'm guessing the bun might of had butter. While I'm giving this a 3 star since mainly because of limited options for vegetarians and vegans I'd give my meal a 4 star.

"Review: Tokyo Japan Restaurant on West Street, Wichita, KSI recently dined at Tokyo Japan Restaurant on West Street in Wichita, KS, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. The restaurant offers a variety of Japanese cuisine, including sushi, soups, and steak, but there were some areas that fell short.Starting with the soup, it was served warm, but I found that it lacked some flavors that I was expecting. As someone who enjoys bold and rich flavors in soups, I was a bit disappointed with the taste. The sushi, on the other hand, was good despite falling apart. The presentation was visually appealing, and the taste was enjoyable. However, I did notice that some of the sushi rolls were not tightly rolled and tended to fall apart when picked up with chopsticks, which was a bit inconvenient.Moving on to the seating, I was seated in one of the booths, but I found that the seats were worn-out and uncomfortable. The cushions were flattened, and it detracted from the overall comfort of the dining experience. One highlight of the meal was the steak my wife ordered, which was cooked medium rare. She thoroughly enjoyed it and mentioned that it was cooked to perfection and had a wonderful flavor. This was one of the highlights of our meal.Unfortunately, the service was lacking in some areas. We did not receive any refills for our drinks, which was disappointing and left us feeling a bit neglected. In terms of the ambiance, the restaurant had a casual and relaxed atmosphere with Japanese-themed decor, but the worn-out seating did affect the overall impression. In conclusion, my experience at Tokyo Japan Restaurant on West Street in Wichita, KS had some ups and downs. While the sushi was good, the soup lacked flavors, the seating was worn-out, and the service was not up to par. However, the steak was a standout dish, cooked to perfection. If improvements are made in the areas of flavor, seating, and service, it could enhance the overall dining experience at this restaurant."
