In terms of the food, it was average. They mentioned that they purchased their pies from Costco, which made me question the rest of their menu. The fries were good, albeit a bit thin but still tasty. The elk patty was a bit dry and gamey, and it was round shaped instead of hand-formed. I was surprised that there was no buffalo burger on the menu in a place known for buffalo, but I got what I came for. The sundae had real whipped cream, which was a nice touch. Overall, this restaurant is a solid choice for a meal on the highway. I'm not sure what other options there are in town that could beat this place, as they were closed when I visited. But for now, this restaurant will suffice.

We stopped at this restaurant on our way to Billings and were greeted by a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. However, the food was a bit disappointing. We both started with the cheesy broccoli soup, which lacked seasoning and tasted a bit bland. We then ordered the 8oz Bison Sirloin for $35 each, but were surprised to find that the steaks had no seasoning at all. The server had offered Cajun or Montreal seasoning, but we declined assuming the steak would come seasoned as is standard. We later found out that the Montreal seasoning was the basic salt and pepper seasoning. The Bison Sirloin did not have the distinct flavor of Bison and tasted more like a regular steak.
